The typical STG professional has more than 20 years of industry and/or consulting experience in the transportation or energy industry as well as advanced academic credentials.

Businesses come to us to obtain one or more advantage. Their reasons typically include:

  • To take advantage of a new and independent viewpoint
  • To obtain market intelligence while preserving anonymity.
STG provides clients with consulting assistance combining the personal attention, flexibility and experience provided by a small, industry-focused consultancy with the abilities (especially technological skills) of a large network of specialists and specialty organizations. Together, we support in-depth examinations of problems that require combined business knowledge, industry experience and technological expertise.

Who We Are

STG was founded in 1995 by managers and professionals departing SRI International as it chose to exit the management consulting business.  Since that time, STG has grown with the addition of other professionals.

STG has retained many of the clients relationships developed at SRI and expanded our business as we have developed a reputation for quality research without the overhead and costs of large consultancies.
